Rocky Mountain Travel is an independent, comprehensive guide to Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding Estes Park and Grand Lake area — built for people planning a trip, not for people trying to sell you one.

What we do

We maintain curated listings for dining, lodging, hiking trails, tours and experiences, and transportation across Estes Park, Grand Lake, and the park itself. Alongside listings, we publish trip-planning guides, a Timed Entry permit helper, a cost calculator, and a real-time weather forecast for the park, so you can plan around conditions instead of finding out about them after you've packed the car.

What we're not

Rocky Mountain Travel is not a tour operator, booking agent, or travel agency. We don't sell tours, process reservations, or take a cut of anything you book. When a listing links out to a business's own site or a booking platform, that's where the transaction happens — we're the map, not the middleman.

How listings get here

We research and verify the businesses, trails, and experiences we list — hours, pricing, permit requirements, and trail conditions can all change, so we recommend confirming details directly with the business or the National Park Service before you go, especially for anything permit-gated like Timed Entry or Longs Peak.
